Great SDR
Had my RSP1A for about 2 weeks now. I'm using SDRuno for my software. Not very tech savy, but found it very easy to download and set up using the on screen prompts. The performance is excellent. Noise level is a bit higher than my IC 7200, but cancels out when listening to a station. Audio is usually better than the IC 7200, because of the better computer speakers. The only gripe is that the setup is a bit of a CPU hog. Often experiencing Audio clipping because the CPU can't keep up. The SDR Play tech, told me the only real solution is a better computer. Would have given it 5 stars other than this audio clipping issue. I definitely recommend this unit.

Very disappointed
I'm getting very disturbed by this experience. Even trying to give one star is not possible on this site as this web page tries to reset the review to five stars. Two stars is as low as it will allow you to set for a review. That's pretty scary!
Upon receipt of the unit I have had not one little tweak of the radio spectrum noticed by this unit. Working on a return but I suspect I will have to eat the cost and move on.

For any warranty issue, we will take care of it here in Toronto, you would certainly never have to send it to another country. Perfect SDR!
I live in an apartment building and have been using the cheap SDR's you can buy on Amazon with a homemade indoor antenna for shortwave listening. The results were terrible.. very low signals and a ton of noise. I decided to bite the bullet and spend the money on a decent SDR. I wasn't disappointed! What a huge difference! Using the same homemade indoor antenna I'm picking up strong signals with low noise now. I listened to Shannon, U.K Volmet on 5505 KHZ from eastern Canada. Signal 10+db The software that comes with this SDR is available to download from the SDRplay website. It's amazing and has every feature you can think of. It also works great with decoding software. I have received WEFAX from Boston and decoded some digital ham transmissions. I highly recommend this SDR! Thanks Radio World for the great service and fast shipping. I will definitely order more from you!
