I have a love hate relationship with mine!
I went through 4 of them before realizing they have no protection on the external antenna input. After each summer lightning storm the front end went totally deaf. RW was great about replacing them under warranty. Glad I got it from them and not online. I finally solved the problem by putting a spark gap lightning arrester on the antenna line to the discone. I had a couple of Uniden weather radios on it before with no issue. So if you plan to use an external antenna consider a lightning arrester. Radio has good sound and good sensitivity but if you plan to use the SAME ALERT Feature in Ontario you will be disappointed. When an alert is sent you get the siren then about 5 seconds of French then it goes silent again. My older Uniden used to play the entire alert in English. I've sent numerous requests to Sangean about this with no answer. Love it/Hate it!

Excellent Receiver
I live in a shadow area and have difficulty receiving the WX and S.A.M.E broadcasts. I have tried other radios and in Dec 2015 finally found the CL-100. With an external antenna I get a reliable signal 24/7. I recommend this radio!
