Bought this a while back and never had a chance to use it, but after suffering trying to tune paired dipole hamsticks I decided to get this out and give it a try.
Tuned up first time. I did create some extendible ground wires, one for 20M, then an add-on to make it 40M and another add-on to make it 80M using Anderson Powerpoles. I also use an Antenna Analyzer to get it right, but so easy to tune with the telescopic section. I'll be using this on my FT-991 for portable use, so the fact it will handle the FT-991's full 100W is a bonus. and 160M too!

A Great Compact Portable Antenna
This is a great compact and portable antenna covering all the bands. It is a compromise antenna so it will not be as good as a resonant dipole but if you need a packable antenna for your Icom 705 or Yaesu FT817/818 then this is the correct choice for you. The M mount is more sturdy than a BNC mount and it DOES NEED A COUNTERPOISE and a antenna tuner may also be useful. It also handles 100 watts. I put it on my Yaesu FT-991 as a joke and worked 17 states in the CQ WW SSB contest on 20M sitting on a picnic table using the Dakota battery. Its a keeper.
