Magnetic Latching Relay.
Once the tuner is tuned the relay's latch and power is turned off. It saves on battery drain. The tuned frequency will be stored in memory. When you change frequency or bands you need to apply power and energize the tuning process again. If the frequency is in memory the tuning process will be quick !
