Excellent Antenna

I bought this antenna from Radio World a few weeks ago, finally got around to installing it (and most importantly -> grounding it properly!) So after all the cables were run, attached the antenna to the scanner, turned it on and I was blown away by the reception. I am picking up Analog Comms a long way away (I don't want to make any grandiose claims here, but the reception distance is excellent) The scanner is connected to a PC and is feeding live scanner audio to the internet via a website I'm sure we are all familiar with here (not here to promote anything other than review the antenna). The stereo audio feed from the scanner to the PC is so clear now, its just amazing. This amazing little antenna is well worth the cost if you are looking to boost your reception. Once again Radio World is providing an excellent product for an incredible price. I also purchased RG8X cable from Radio World and I am sure the quality of this cable is making a big difference in the connection quality from the Antenna to the lightening arrestor. Anyhow, the assembly of this antenna takes more than two hands, I had my young lad wrench the parts together while I held it in place. Make sure you have a bit of space to work in while assembling. This antenna is not very tall (around 5 ft or so) but it does require some width to move it around. The instructions provided are very straight forward and easy to follow.
