We hope that you will never need our repair services. However, if technical difficulties do arise with your equipment, our trained technicians will provide prompt and effective care of your equipment. Here is the procedure to send in your equipment for repair service:
Prior to returning any equipment for repair, we do not require you to obtain a return authorization number. We do, however, request that you include a note in writing stating the following:
- A detailed description of what is wrong with the equipment requiring service
- If your equipment is under warranty you must include a copy of your bill of sale
- (Non warranty equipment) Whether you would like an estimate of your equipment before repair, or you can tell us just to go ahead and repair your radio without an estimate
- A daytime phone number or e-mail address so we may contact you
- A return shipping address

Be sure to pack your equipment properly, ensuring that you have 2-3 inches of firm packing on all sides, top and bottom of the equipment to prevent it from being damaged. Packing peanuts alone, which can allow the heavy equipment to migrate to the edge of the box, are not sufficient. Original packaging is best, but should be housed in another box for shipping documentation to be attached to. Please insure your equipment with the freight carrier for replacement cost, in case it sustains damage or loss in transit.
We charge $80.00 an hour, plus parts, return shipping and taxes where applicable. We also charge $80.00 plus return shipping and taxes on all refused estimates. This is for the time spent evaluating the repair costs. If the estimate is approved, there is no additional charge for having performed the estimate above the cost of the repair.
Once the repair is completed, we will contact you with the total charges, including freight and applicable taxes. At that time, you are welcome to give us a MasterCard or VISA number to cover the repair costs, or you may mail in a personal cheque or money order to pay for the repair before shipping.
Additional services offered by our Service Department includes the installation of various connectors on cables, such as antenna coax connectors, microphone connectors etc.
Rates as follows:
Coax only connectors such as "N" connectors, PL-259 connectors $10.00 per connector, plus the cost of the connectors and cable.
Microphone, DIN or other multi wire connectors $25.00 per connector plus the cost of the connector and cables
Should you require the product tested such as TNC to radio or microphone to radio, amplifier cables etc, the standard service rate will apply, the minimum being 1/2 hr or $40.00.
